Wear RED DAY

Students spoke at assembly this morning and wore something red to show their support against racism.

Students and staff at Dundalk Grammar School donned the Red on Friday December 14th to show Racism the Red Card.

In doing so, they were showing their support for the work of this organisation, and raising some funds for it too. Those who came to school wearing a red accessory were asked to donate €1 each.

The hosting of Wear Red Day in the school is part of the school’s overall drive to celebrate culture and diversity.

Last year the first Celebration of Culture Day was held back in March, and the student organisers are already underway with the planning for the second such day on March 14 2019.

Wear Red Day is a nationwide campaign spearheaded by the organisation Show Racism the Red Card. The message is Say No To Racism.
