Dundalk Cricket Club hosted a very entertaining cricket match between Dundalk Grammar School and the De La Salle School Dundalk on Thursday 19th of May.  Batting first Dundalk Grammar batted sensibly and did not lose very many wickets and ended their 24 over innings on 132 runs.  This set the De La Salle a stiff target and although they batted very well and scored runs quickly they also lost wickets regularly.  The De La Salle ended their innings on 121 runs with Dundalk Grammar winning a very close contest by 11 runs.

A big thank you to Derek Turner and all the other members of Dundalk Cricket Club in Dromiskin who provided a ground, umpires and snack for both teams!  The following played for Dundalk Grammar School:  Arslan Mahmood (c), Callum Lawson, Harry Cleary, Dylan Fahy, Emmet Kirk, John Byrne, Shaquille O’Neill, Robert Kierans, Michael O’Callaghan, Alan Dunne, Ronan O’Reilly (WK), Paul Carroll.
