A revised Child Protection Policy was adopted by the Board of Management in November 2011.  This has been done in line with the advice of the Department of Education and Skills.  The DES has issued revised “Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools” which apply with immediate effect replacing the Child Protection Guidelines issued in 2004. The "Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools" were developed following extensive consultation with the education partners and are based on the recently published Children First – National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2011 available at http://www.dcya.ie

Child protection concerns should be reported to Mr Cyril Drury who is the designated liaison person (DLP) responsible for dealing with such concerns in this school.  Ms Valerie Meagher is the deputy designated liaison person (DDLP).
