Temple Street Tea

On the 10th March, the Home Economics Room hosted an Afternoon Tea to raise funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.  Taking its inspiration from afternoon teas of the 1920s, this event gave students and teachers an opportunity to dress in the style of a more decadent era.  The room itself was resplendently decorated with student’s artwork, all of which echoed the various art movements of this decade .

Entertainment was provided by a troupe of dancing girls (composed mainly of first years ) who performed ‘Speakeasy’ from the film Bugsy Malone. Afterwards, these girls received a very well deserved round of applause for their wonderfully energetic performance.
