Sports
Sport is for all and participation in games is encouraged. Care is taken to ensure that pupils who do not play in school teams can still enjoy sport. Our broad programme is aimed at promoting the enjoyment of sport as training for future health and recreational activity.
The school is well-placed geographically for pupils to benefit from contact, not only with local sporting clubs and professional coaches, but also to sustain a happy rivalry with schools both in Northern Ireland and in the rest of Leinster.
School games include hockey, rugby, soccer, athletics, basketball, badminton, tennis, rounders and table tennis. In addition students have the opportunity to participate in sailing, horse riding and golf. Most of these sports offer opportunities to play competitively at local and regional inter-schools level.
