There are extra curricular activities on offer after school such as hockey, soccer, science and coding club, basketball and an opportunity for 5th and 6th Classes to join 1st years in a range of other sports such as rugby, cricket, basketball, badminton etc.
Dundalk Grammar Junior School is part of the Association of Independent Junior Schools and competes in sporting events organised by the association. In addition to AIJS, DGS Junior school teams compete against other schools in hockey, soccer, and basketball. Both our girls’ and boys’ teams perform well at competition level. DGS also play in the Junior Schools hockey league.
