Local Councillor meets 5th Year Economics Class

Emma Coffey, a local County Councillor, paid a visit to the 5th Year Economics Class on Tuesday afternoon, April 17.

The main purpose of her visit was to encourage young people to take an interest in politics, and to consider getting involved in politics going forward.

As a woman, she particularly wanted to encourage more young girls and women to consider putting themselves forward for election, and to more actively consider engaging in politics.

She encouraged all to vote when they became eligible to do so.

Her talk was very well received by the students.
