Irish Guide Dogs visit 2 Green

The students of 2 Green CSPE Class welcomed Des O’Callaghan, Irish Guide Dogs, and guide dogs Mitch and Nova to the school on Wednesday November 8th.

Des spoke to the class about the benefits a guide dog offers to a visually impaired person, or an autistic child.

The dogs are provided without charge to those who apply, and can transform the lives of the recipients.

Des was fullsome in his praise for the 8 girls in the class who supported the charity’s collection day in Dundalk on two separate days, and for the work they are doing in raising awareness of, and fund-raising for, Irish Guide Dogs, as part of their CSPE Action Project.

Keep up the good work Laura, Emily, Jessica, Lila, Mia, Ffion, Sophie and Sophie.
