1 Green CSPE Projects Presentation Event

The class of 1 Green welcomed the representatives of 7 Charities, and their parents, to the Harper Building on Thursday afternoon May 18th for an Event to celebrate the work they have put in to date to their CSPE Action Projects. The guests included Fiona Squibb LSPCA, Catherine Kieran Dundalk Simon Community, Sandra Byrne Bags of Hope, Garrett Mullen Show Racism The Red Card, Sheelagh McEnally Louth Meath Down Syndrome, Ciara Solan Save our Sons and Daughters, with apologies from Willie Martin VW Recycling Centre Dundalk.

The 7 groups of students in the class spoke passionately about their projects, which included Animal Welfare, Homelessness (2 groups), Save the Planet, Racism, Children Special Needs and Bullying. Fund-raising cheques were presented to LSPCA, Dundalk Simon Community, Show Racism The Red Card, Louth Meath Down Syndrome and Save our Sons and Daughters (SoSaD).

All guests were treated to tea/coffee, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits, prepared by the catering girls in the class. The venue was prepared and decorated by the students, and the overall ambience was fitting for such a positive and worthwhile social event. It was an uplifting occasion for all who participated and attended, and the students did themselves and their charities proud. CSPE is about making a difference. These students are making a difference.

Congratulations 1 Green.
